As a young boy growing up in Ghana, I was always fascinated by the world of music. The rhythms, melodies, and harmonies seemed to speak directly to my soul. I would spend hours listening to music, dreaming of the day I could create my own.
But my parents had other plans. They encouraged me to focus on my education, and I reluctantly obliged. I worked hard, earning my Master’s degree and setting myself up for a successful career.
However, the fire of music never fully faded. Even as I pursued my academic and professional goals, I found myself drawn to the world of broadcasting but never let go of my passion to chase my dream. It was as if my passion for music had found a new outlet, a way for me to share my love with others.
And then, one day, I decided to take the leap. I started pursuing music, finally allowing myself to chase the dream I had put on hold for so long.
It wasn’t easy, of course chasing my dream . Starting late in the game meant I had to work twice as hard to catch up. But my passion drove me forward, and I found myself making progress I never thought possible.
The culmination of my journey so far has been the release of my debut project, “Something Something,” which explores the ambiguities of life. I am thrilled and grateful to say that it has been well-received by the world, and I feel blessed to have been able to share my music with so many people.
Looking back, I realize that my journey was never just about music. It was about following my heart, about staying true to myself even when the world around me seemed to be pushing me in a different direction.
As I stand here today, grateful for the opportunity to pursue my dreams, I am reminded of the power of passion and perseverance. It’s never too late to chase your dreams, and with hard work and determination, anything is possible.
To God be the glory, indeed
